The Musikherbst Alpine music festival in Ellmau, an idyllic Tirolean mountain village, has been a must for all friends of folk music for more than 25 years! The Alpine region’s most famous folk music festival featuring the absolute stars of the genre inspires guests from around the world!
Be on hand at the end of September and beginning of October when the top stars from the folk music scene - Hansi Hinterseer, Marc Pircher, Francine Jordi, Howard Carpendale and many more - share the stage at the marquee in the village centre of Ellmau to the delight of an international audience.
During the two-week Musikherbst event, the expansive Ellmau farmer's market will take place on Sunday or Saturday (depending on event-week) during the day with over 50 exhibitors from the region! On Thursdays and Fridays, the region will also offer a great day programme featuring an excursion to the Wildpark Aurach in addition to a fantastic ‘breakfast pint’ event on the mountain.
