Did you know that one kilometre travelled by car is 15 times more harmful to the climate than the same distance by train? Because we care about the environment, our wonderful natural surroundings and our carbon footprint, we reward every guest who travels by train with an attractive bonus.

Tips for your train journey

Many routes are operated jointly by Deutsche Bahn, ÖBB (Austrian Railways), and SBB (Swiss Railways). It’s worth checking your preferred route with all three providers, as this can often lead to a particularly good deal. In addition, so-called “saver fares” can be booked up to three days before your travel date. These discounted tickets are usually more widely available during the week than at weekends.

Note for families
Infants up to one day before their sixth birthday travel for free on the ÖBB Standard Ticket. After that, half price applies for children up to their 15th birthday.
