Climbing Kaiserklettergarten in Ellmau, near Gaudeamushütte

The Wilder Kaiser region provides the gripping material for outdoor sport not just to famous climbing professionals such as the Bavarian "Huberbuam" Huber brothers or the local Guido Unterwurzacher. Whether on a rockface or in water, on foot or riding on a bike through the mountains, valleys, gorges and rocks surrounding the villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll you experience a direct encounter with nature and the elements.

You can take training in coordination, strength and balance under experienced mountain guides, from Monday to Friday, to experience your own outdoor thrill while practising the vertical climb, by sports climbing or climbing for beginners, or adventure climbing for families. Children from the age of six onwards can go on a canyoning adventure or swoosh through the gorge in a rafting boat with their parents. There are summit adventure tours ranging from easy to the highest peak in the Kaiser mountains at Ellmauer Halt. The highlight of Summer 2014 is the Kaiserdurchschreitung (Kaiser crossing) from North to South. Various mountain bike tours are offered daily.
