The Astberg Railway in Going
Up the Astberg on the chairlift
Up to 1,300 metres on the 4-seater chairlift: on a ride on the Astbergbahn in Going, you can enjoy plenty of legroom and stunning views. Once you reach the top of the mountain, the Astbergsee is waiting to be discovered. This popular photo spot, featuring the “Lieblingsplatzl Rastbank”, is also known as the Emperor’s Mirror, as the Kaiser Mountains are perfectly reflected on its surface. At the Kaiserkino, you can settle into the cosy wooden deckchairs – the cinema programme offers the best views of the Wilder Kaiser and the sunset every day.
Families with children will find a true paradise on the Astberg: At the Pony Alm, 20 ponies, as well as sheep and goats, spend their summer holidays. As well as pony rides and the petting zoo, there’s also a playground waiting for all our young visitors.
