Paragliding and skydiving in the Wilder Kaiser

Between mountain panoramas and an adrenaline rush

Tandem flying is regarded as one of the most fascinating air sports, which for some pilots can even be “addictive”.

Being right at one with nature, feeling the wind on your face, gliding through the air alongside the birds at eye level and taking in the mountain panorama from a bird’s-eye view: that’s paragliding on the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol.

With just a few steps, you’ll take to the skies alongside a qualified pilot on the slopes of the Hartkaiser (Ellmau) or at the summit of the Hohe Salve (Söll).

Information for paragliders

Gentle launch slopes and incredible views of the jagged rocky peaks: paragliding in the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol not only has a special appeal, but is also subject to specific rules, as it is a nature reserve. Here you’ll find all the information you need for your independent flight in Ellmau or Söll.

Our answers to your questions

Yes, there is a strict ban on take-offs in our Kaisergebirge nature reserve, which has been imposed by the landowners.

Paragliders are often perceived by chamois and other wild animals as birds of prey, which triggers a flight response and, in the worst case, can lead to the animals falling to their deaths. The flying ban is therefore primarily intended to protect wildlife in the Kaiser Mountains!

There is an official take-off and landing site in Söll. You can find all the information here!

In Ellmau, registration is required. Please direct enquiries and bookings for take-off and landing sites directly to:

In Scheffau and Going there are no official take-off and landing sites!

The mountain railways offer a special fare for paragliders. You can find the prices and terms and conditions here.
