Astberg Pony Alm in Going
Pony rides at 1,300 metres
With 20 ponies, a true paradise awaits visitors of all ages at the mountain station of the Astbergbahn cable car in Going am Wilden Kaiser. Together with their parents, children can explore the area on the Astberg on the back of the ponies and experience various stations. But not only the ponies are animal friends on the Astberg - a petting zoo offers you the opportunity to feed and stroke small animals.

Don't just visit the Pony Alm on the Astberg, but also hike to the Astbergsee - the "Mirror of the Wilder Kaiser". You will be impressed!

The Astberg Pony Alm is open from 09:30 - 16:00
Attention: Provisional times for summer 2026, subject to change! No pre-booking necessary.
You can easily reach the Pony Alm with the 4-seater chairlift Astbergbahn from Going. Please note that this is a chairlift that cannot transport wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are plenty of free parking spaces available at the valley station.
Please note that the Astberg Pony Alm is not accessible by car.

You are welcome to take your dog with you to the Astberg Pony Alm. Please keep your four-legged friend on a lead and always take good care of him. Dogs are not allowed in the water and dog faeces must be removed immediately.
