Heading from the village centre, you will walk in the footsteps of the Kneipp philosophy. Follow the road down on the left side until you reach the “5 pillars”, which is the entrance to our circular walk. Stay on the gravel path that runs parallel to the stream and you will come to various stations such as the barefoot path, an open-air inhalatorium, the vein steps, an old lime kiln, a place for meditation and the eagle labyrinth. After that, the path features a gentle incline and takes you around the edge of the Oberfeld district as you head back to the village centre. Once there, you will pass the Gasthof
Weberbauer hotel and you should follow the pavement along the Hintersteiner See road. Before coming to the bridge in the district of Bruggenmoos, make a right turn near the large sculpture and head into the Rehbachklamm gorge (no. 42). You will now follow a wild and romantic route that takes you past a log cabin and over bridges as you walk along the stream. Soon after, you will need to climb some steps to reach the final bridge. Turn left and follow the forest road towards
Hinterschiesslingalm. After passing the small car park, you will see the entrance gate to the upper section of the gorge. Crossing bridges via wooden stairs, the trail also leads past a lit and accessible mining tunnel from the 16th century. Bear right once you leave the gorge, taking the road (no. 41) and heading back along the forest road to reach the district of Leiten and then the village centre. Finally, on the south side of the municipal office, there is a water treading pool and an arm band, which invite you to linger.
