The four holiday resorts in the Wilder Kaiser region

The Wilder Kaiser region is the first alpine region to be awarded the Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality. The four Kaiser villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll in the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve are part of the world's largest e-bike region "Kitzbüheler Alpen-Kaisergebirge".

In winter, the holiday region boasts one of the largest and most modern ski areas in Austria, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. The ski area comprises 9 villages, an incredible 275 kilometres of pistes and 81 cable cars and lifts, providing plenty of skiing fun and action. Away from the piste, the landscape is best enjoyed on a snowshoe hike in the countryside or on a cosy horse-drawn carriage ride through the snow-covered villages.

Scheffau is slightly elevated on a sunny plateau right at the foot of the imposing peaks of the Wilder Kaiser. What makes Scheffau so special is its proximity to nature, hiking trails and natural gems such as the Hintersteiner See lake.
