Description

From the Gaudeamushütte, follow trail 812/813 in the direction of "Ellmauer Tor". Hike in serpentines through mountain pines to the junction with the Wilden-Kaiser-Steig. At the "Jubiläumssteig" junction, follow trail 812 to the right over the scree field (Kübelkar). After a rocky steep section (partly secured with steel cables), the trail continues over further scree fields and a final rocky section to the Ellmauer Tor, 1,980 metres. Enjoy the views of the rock faces of Karlspitzen, Fleischbank and Preditgtstuhl.

Return along the same route to the junction with the Klammlweg. Here, turn right onto path 813/824 in the direction of Gruttenhütte...
