6 mountain adventure worlds in the region
Experience nature, understand and learn through play
The Wilder Kaiser region enjoys the highest concentration of alpine mountain adventure worlds in the whole of Austria. They are a fascinating and playful way to discover nature. It all began eleven years ago with the Hexenwasser in Hochsöll on the Hohe Salve. This is home to the longest barefoot path in Austria, which makes its way past 60 activity points where there is much to feel, see and and hear. Ellmi's Zauberwelt on the Hartkaiser in Ellmau opens up a magical kingdom of the magic frog along fantasy filled paths on a fairytale walk full of wonder and spirit of discovery. On the Brandstadl is the KaiserWelt Scheffau for children of all ages, an adventure playpark in the Little People's Kaiser forest with its own castle.
The 1,829 metre high Hohe Salve rates as one of the loveliest panorama mountains in Tyrol with spectacular views over 70 peaks of three thousand metres or more, a particular treat is Austria's first 360° revolving panorama terrace. The panorama paths around the Filzalmsee in Hochbrixen offer plenty of opportunity for encounters with the natural alpine landscape, its animals and rare plants. The Alpinolino in Westendorf at 1.800 Metres comprises numerous adventure areas, sensory awareness points as wells as sporting challenges and a petting zoo. The mountain adventure worlds are open from May to October and can be reached on foot or by cable car. They are mostly accessible with prams and wheelchairs and are connected with one another along the panoramic hiking paths. Back in the valley the free KaiserJet hikers bus brings you back to your starting point.
