of the TVB Wilder Kaiser on the Corona epidemic

01 April 2020

Until 13 April 2020, all Tyrolean communities are under quarantine due to the corona epidemic, based on the Epidemic Law:

  • All persons who do not have a main or secondary residence in Tyrol must leave Tyrol immediately, unless they work in the critical infrastructure or supply.
  • The borders are closed. Only persons who have a main or secondary residence in Tyrol or work in critical infrastructure or supply may enter Tyrol.
  • Citizens may only leave their homes to cover basic services: Work that cannot be postponed, purchase of food or medicine, care of persons in need, care of animals
  • Citizens are only allowed to leave their home municipality if basic services cannot be provided in the home municipality. Commuting to and from work is still permitted across municipal boundaries. The movement of goods remains permitted under certain conditions.
  • All accommodation facilities, all restaurants, all cable cars are closed until April 13th.
  • All shops (with the exception of systemically important ones such as grocery stores, pharmacies, petrol stations, etc.) are closed until at least April 13th.

What is the current situation?

We have booked a holiday at the Wilder Kaiser with arrival before April 13th - what should we do?

Until April 13th all accommodation facilities in Tyrol are closed by the authorities, so you cannot start your holiday. Please contact your host for any postponement or cancellation of your holiday. A possible deposit can be used for the later holiday or refunded if necessary.

We have booked a holiday at the Wilder Kaiser with arrival after April 13th - what should we do?

For the time being, the ordered plant closure is valid until April 13th, 2020. Currently, the Austrian authorities are forced to make new decisions from day to day. Therefore, reliable information on when we can return to normal operations is currently not possible. Should you wish to cancel your holiday, the cancellation rules agreed at the time of booking apply - as things stand at present. Tip: Ask your host about the possibility of postponing your holiday free of charge!
