Test various mountain sports with experienced mountain guides

It is finally time for wonderful mountain experiences with like-minded people, unforgettable moments in nature, trying out new sports and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

The big Mountain Sports Week is from 25th of June to 2nd of July 2022 in Ellmau where you can try out new sports and enjoy plenty of time on the mountains. You will be accompanied by experienced mountain guides through your bespoke programme and an e-mountain bike will be provided for your sporty and environmentally friendly journey through the meeting points.

Do I have to bring a lot of experience to participate in the Mountain Sports Week?
During the mountain sports week you will require a degree of sure-footedness, a head for heights and the physical ability to combat several hours of ascent. However, experience in the respective mountain sports such as climbing or canyoning is not required.

What can I do if I have reserved the wrong activity or purchased the wrong ticket?
This is not a problem; the staff of the Wilder Kaiser region will be happy to take care of your rebooking. You can easily pass on your change requests by e-mail to bergsportwoche@wilderkaiser.info

Can the Mountain Sports Week be cancelled by me?
Yes, a free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before your start date.

Is participation possible/recommendable on your own?
Yes of course! You will spend the week grouped with other mountain enthusiasts and of course the experienced local guides. You will always be in good company at the Mountain Sports Week.

Can sporty children/young people also take part in the Mountain Sports Week?
Unfortunately, participation in the Mountain Sports Week is only possible for ages 18+

Equipment to bring:

  • Hiking & leisure wear (short & long)
  • Mountaineering boots
  • Rain protection, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sun cream)
  • Backpack, water bottle, possibly some small snacks
  • Canyoning: Swimwear, towel and shoes (which will get wet)
  • Climbing or via ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, via ferrata set) if available (can also be rented)
  • Via ferrata or cycling gloves, possibly poles
  • Passport & driving licence
  • E-card (also accident insurance information)
  • First-aid kit (also blister plasters)
  • Possibly a camera & chargers
  • Sure-footedness and a good head for heights are required

Liability

The programme is subject to change! Neither the organiser nor his independent guides assume any liability for accidents of any kind. Services that cannot be provided due to weather or other circumstances are non-refundable. We recommend accident and health insurance (high-mountain risk, rescue service and recovery costs included). By registering, the participant confirms that he/she is fit for the programme in terms of health and agrees that photos and videos taken during the Mountain Sports Week may be used by the Tourismusverband Wilder Kaiser information office for advertising purposes.
