Village tour Scheffau

Village tour Scheffau

Description

Starting from the village center, follow path no. 56 past the church to the left of the municipal office in the direction of Söll. Turn left at the first farm, straight ahead you will see the "Brandstadl" mountain which is reachable by gondola. At the next crossroads turn left again towards the village. Enjoy the wonderful view of the Wilder Kaiser. Immediately after the Hotel Kaiserlodge, turn right twice and follow the sidewalk downhill until you find the entrance to the "Kneipp circuit" on the left side just before the fire station. The trail leads you past an open-air inhalatorium and an ancient chalk oven. At the end of the forest path, take the path on the left side back until you reach the church again. There are several refreshment stops nearby and below the municipal office there is a cold water basin for legs and arms.

Variant suitable for buggies:
At first as described above, up to half of the "Kneipprunde" - turn left at the bridge after the ancient chalk oven, where a paved path leads back to the village center. (The ground in the second half of this path is a little uneven, so we recommend leaving it out.)
