Ellmau-Scheffau winter trail

Description

You start this leisurely winter hike at the hiking starting point directly opposite the Ellmau tourist information office. Walk through the village in the direction of the Hartkaiserbahn and turn right after Gasthof Au. Continue along the Weißache towards the local museum. Follow the road, walk through the underpass after the Ellmauer Hof and follow the signposts towards Föhrenhof. Shortly after the inn, turn onto the prepared winter hiking trail until you pass the handicraft museum in Niederachen and reach the Trattenbach district of Scheffau. Pass the Koasa bakery and walk along the winter hiking trail parallel to the ski run into the village center of Scheffau. The 4060 bus will take you back to Ellmau in comfort.You can of course also start the tour in Scheffau.

Arrival by car
Heading from Wörgl or Kufstein on the B178 road, take the first exit to Ellmau and then take the first exit at the roundabout. Drive along the bypass, then turn towards the centre of Ellmau when you reach the end (between MPreis and the Sporthotel). Continue straight on until you see the Tourist Information Office on the right-hand side (short-stay parking zone). The hiking starting point is located opposite this on the left-hand side. Heading from St. Johann on the B178 road, take the first exit to Ellmau and drive straight on through the town until you see the Tourist Information Office on the right-hand side (short-stay parking zone). The hiking starting point is located opposite this on the left-hand side.
