Seven Mountain Adventure Worlds

Experiencing nature and learning through play

The Wilder Kaiser region in Tyrol boasts the highest density of ‘Mountain Adventure Worlds’ in the whole of Austria. Through fun and exciting activities, they invite visitors to explore nature in a mindful way.

It all began over ten years ago with the Hexenwasser in Hochsöll on the Hohe Salve. There, Austria’s longest barefoot trail leads to 60 interactive stations, where there is plenty to feel, see and hear. Ellmi’s Zauberwelt on the Hartkaiser in Ellmau awakens the spirit of discovery and exploration during a fairy-tale walk. On the Brandstadl, children of all ages will find KaiserWelt Scheffau, an adventure playground in the enchanted Kaiserwald forest, complete with its own castle. The Astberg Pony Alm is a true paradise, especially for young horse lovers. You can explore the area at a leisurely pace on horseback, stopping off at various stations along the way.

Tip

Pram-friendly paths

All the mountain adventure parks in the Wilder Kaiser region (Hexenwasser Söll, Hohe Salve, KaiserWelt Scheffau, Ellmi’s Zauberwelt, Ponyalm Astberg) have paths suitable for pushchairs. It is also possible to take pushchairs on the 8-seater and 10-seater gondola lifts up to the adventure parks.

The BergErlebnisWelten can be reached free of charge from May to October, either on foot or by cable car with a valid hiking pass; they are largely accessible to pushchairs and wheelchair users and are linked by panoramic trails. Back in the valley, you can then easily return to your starting point on the free KaiserJet spa and hiking bus.
