Hohe Salve, Söll
Tyrol’s most beautiful mountain with panoramic views
The Hohe Salve, situated towards Söll at 1,829 metres, offers a magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser. The panoramic setting of one of Tyrol’s most beautiful mountains is a mountain experience in its own right. But anyone with the Hexenwasser below them won’t be disappointed even at the summit. There, the Salvenriese welcomes visitors at the mountain station.
Tip
Don’t forget your binoculars!
If you have a pair of binoculars, it’s a good idea to take them with you to the Hohe Salve. From the summit, you can see over 70 three-thousand-metre peaks.
Important information
The Hohe Slave can be reached from two locations: Söll and Hopfgarten each offer a gondola lift to the summit. Please note that in Söll and Hopfgarten you will need to change gondola lifts once at the midway station – these are just a few metres apart.
In principle, it is possible to hike to the summit of the Hohe Salve. If you prefer a more leisurely option and would like to take one of the gondola lifts up, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental fares.
Tip
Paragliding from the Hohe Salve – unique tandem flights
The Hohe Salve is a popular launch site, as the excellent thermal conditions and unique landscape make every flight something special.
