Skiing with kids
Fun on the slopes in the Wilder Kaiser region
#evenbetterinreality
When is the right age for children to start skiing? Many a ski enthusiast will probably answer ‘as soon as the child can stand.’
However, many parents will likely balk at such a suggestion. It’s far to early for their kid to become a junior ski champ. But: It’s never to early to get to know the snow in a playful way... perhaps just trying on a ski boot or sliding around a bit in the flat terrain. Even young children will enjoy the magic of snow.
In this respect, there is no right or wrong time. Every child is different and should be allowed to learn at his/her own pace. Nevertheless, getting to know the snow and skiing in a playful way should be encouraged for children at an early age. After all, this is an important foundation for solid skiing skills and who knows, maybe even for a World Cup career!
The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers all sorts of opportunities for first experiences in the snow. An overview of special kids areas in the ski resort, ski schools and ski lessons are available in addition to advice for parents about where to seek out professional, age-appropriate childcare (even for very young kids). Plus, we can recommend the best offers for families.
Young Family Ticket
The ideal offer for families with small children: The Young Family Ticket from the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. This ticket is available for 3–14 days and can be used by both parents in turns: While one parent stays with the child at the magic carpet, the other one can go proper skiing again.
