Astberg Pony Alm in Going
Pony rides at 1,300 metres
With 20 ponies, a real paradise awaits visitors of all ages – especially the little ones – at the Astbergbahn mountain station in Going am Wilden Kaiser. Together with their parents, children can explore the Astberg area on the backs of the ponies and visit various stops along the way. But it’s not just the ponies that make for lovely animal encounters on the Astberg – a petting zoo offers you the chance to feed and stroke small animals.

Don’t just visit the Pony Alm on the Astberg – take a walk to Lake Astberg too – the “Mirror of the Wilder Kaiser”. You’ll be impressed!

The Astberg Pony Alm is open from 09:30 to 16:00
Please note: These are provisional opening times for summer 2027; subject to change! No booking required.
The Pony Alm is easily reached via the Astbergbahn 4-seater chairlift from Going. Please note that this is a chairlift which cannot carry wheelchairs or pushchairs. There are plenty of free parking spaces available at the valley station.
Please note that the Astberg Pony Alm cannot be reached by car.

You’re welcome to bring your dog to the Astberg Pony Alm. Please keep your four-legged friend on a lead and always keep a close eye on them. Dogs are not allowed in the water and dog fouling must be cleared away immediately wherever it occurs.
