The Wilder Kaiser region boasts Austria’s highest density of Mountain Adventure Worlds, inviting you to consciously discover nature in a playful and exciting way.
It all began over 10 years ago at the Hexenwasser in Hochsöll at the Hohe Salve mountain. This special area boasts Austria’s longest barefoot path, which leads to 60 experience stations where there is a plenty to feel, see and hear. Meanwhile, Ellmi's Magic World at the Hartkaiser mountain in Ellmau rekindles the spirit of discovery during a fairy-tale hike. Over at the Brandstadl mountain restaurant, children of all ages will enjoy the KaiserWelt Scheffau, a leisure park set in the enchanted KaiserWald forest featuring its very own castle! There’s also the Pony Alm mountain pasture at the Astberg mountain, a true paradise for junior horse lovers in particular. Here you can explore the area comfortably on horseback and visit different stations along the way.
Pram-friendly trails
All Mountain Adventure Worlds in the Wilder Kaiser region (Hexenwasser Söll, Hohe Salve mountain, KaiserWelt Scheffau, Ellmi's Magic World, Ponyalm mountain pasture Astberg) feature pram-accessible trails. It’s also possible to transport prams to the adventure worlds in the 8 and 10-passenger gondolas.
MoreThe Mountain Adventure Worlds are easily accessible on foot. Alternatively, hiking pass holders can take the cable cars free of charge from May to October. Most are pram or wheelchair accessible and connect to panoramic trails. Meanwhile back in the valley, the free KaiserJet hiking bus transports visitors back to starting point in comfort.
