Mountain lake and high moor at 1,300m
The picturesque Filzalmsee Hochbrixen at 1,300 metres is a gem in the Kitzbühel Alps. In the RiesenWelt, the focus is on stimulating the senses naturally and consciously sharpening them for encounters with the mountain world.
You can experience the high moorland biotope at Filzalmsee in a variety of ways: feel it up close in the wading pond and moorland treading pool or learn something about it in the showcase. On the panoramic paths around the lake, hikers are refreshed from head to toe with Kneipp baths and foot reflexology massages on the barefoot path.

Don't forget your swimsuit!
Take your swimsuit, sun cream and preferably a second set of clothes with you. This way you can experience the mountain lake and the high moor to the full.
Important information
You can reach the Filzalmsee in Brixen directly with the Hochbrixen gondola lift. The ascent with the cable car is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Please note that the door width of the cable car is 60cm. There are plenty of free parking spaces available at the valley station of the gondola lift.
Basically, you have the option of hiking to the Filzalmsee from Brixen im Thale. If you prefer the more leisurely option and would like to take one of the gondola lifts, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental tariffs apply.
Not only rare animal and plant species await you at Filzalmsee, but also natural alpine landscapes and cosy panoramic trails. Young hikers can also let off steam in the playground and get to know nature better at the adventure stations. There is also a surprise hidden in the lake itself: look forward to it!
