Start in Ellmau: Coming from Wörgl or Kufstein on the B178 federal road, take the first exit to Ellmau and then also the first exit at the roundabout. Drive along the bypass road and turn off towards Ellmau centre at the end (between MPreis and Sporthotel). Follow the road straight ahead until you see the Tourismus Info on the right-hand side (short-term parking zone), the hiking starting point is opposite on the left.Coming from St. Johann on the B178 federal road, take the first exit to Ellmau and drive straight through the village until you see the Tourismus Info on the right-hand side (short-term parking zone), the hiking starting point is opposite on the left.

Start in Scheffau: Coming from Wörgl, Kufstein or St. Johann on the B178 federal road, take the exit to Scheffau. Shortly before the church, you will see the Tourismus Info with the hiking starting point on the left-hand side. (Short-term parking zone)

The VVT regional bus 865 / 866 takes you comfortably from Scheffau to Ellmau or vice versa.
