Description

The idyll of the Hohe Salve spring area opens up to you after ascending with the Hexenwasser gondola and continuing with the Keat lift. From the Keat mountain station, the pleasant spring hiking trail leads in the direction of Hochbrixen via trail no. 50. Continue in the direction of Hochbrixen via trail no. 71 to the Innere Keatalm. From there follow the signs towards Gasthof Rigi to the Westendorfer Kälberalm. Via the Salvensee lake, continue to follow the signs to Rigi no. 71. Once you have arrived at the alpine pasture, take advantage of the opportunity to stop for a break. Then follow the signs in the direction of Hochsöll. At the fork to the Kraftalm, continue along trail no. 71 to the Keatlift mountain station. By hiking around the Hohe Salve at approx. 1.600 m above sea level, you will get wonderful views from the Wilder Kaiser to the Kitzbüheler Horn.

Information

  • The composition of the trail varies between hiking trail, meadow path, gravel path.

  • Rucksack, sturdy hiking/mountaineering boots with anti-slip treaded soles, weather-appropriate hiking gear (breathable), a change of clothes, sun protection (sunglasses, sun cream, lip protection, headgear), waterproofs (rain jacket/poncho, pocket umbrella, rucksack protector), cold protection (hat, gloves), sufficient food and drink, hiking poles (height adjustable) if required, first aid kit incl. rescue blanket and bivouac sack, mobile phone with fully charged battery, headlamp, plastic bag for waste, hiking map, route description and information materials (GPX track), ID, insurance card, cash

  • Heading from Wörgl, Kufstein or St. Johann on the B178 road, take the exit to Söll and then take the exit to Söll centre (“Söll, Zentrum”) at the roundabout. Drive straight through the village and bear right before the “Giovanni” pizzeria. Follow the road until you reach the hiking starting point at the Franzlhof leisure centre. Take the gondola to the middle station and foreward the Keatlift to the starting point.
