Taxi Voucher with the Wilder Kaiser GuestCard
Vouchers for free taxi rides
So that you as a guest at the Wilder Kaiser are mobile even in times when there are no or only a few ski buses and hiking buses, we have included vouchers for free taxi journeys in the Wilder Kaiser region on your guest card. The "Guest Card with taxi voucher" promotion is available from 25 October to 19 December 2025.
What is it all about?
- The GuestCard contains four vouchers for free taxi journeys when there are only a few ski or hiking buses in the region.
- The taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys within the Wilder Kaiser region, i.e. for journeys within the municipal area of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll.
- A taxi voucher is valid for one journey for one person.
- For journeys in your own holiday resort (e.g. from your accommodation to the cable car) or for a journey to a neighbouring village (e.g. from Scheffau to Söll), one taxi voucher per person is required (1 zone).
- For journeys to more distant locations within the Wilder Kaiser region (e.g. Ellmau – Söll), two vouchers per person are required (2 zones).
- For trips to mountain destinations (Alpengasthaus Gruberhof, Stallhäusl – Söll, Hintersteinersee Lake from Gh. Bärnstatt, Gh. Jägerwirt – Scheffau, Wochenbrunner Alm, JezzAlm and Treichlhof – Ellmau), two vouchers will be deducted in all cases.

How does it work?
Make sure that...
- you are travelling during a "GuestCard with taxi voucher" period
- The start and destination of the journey are in the Wilder Kaiser region (Ellmau, Going, Scheffau or Söll)
- Each fellow traveller has the GuestCard with him/her and there are still enough taxi vouchers on his/her GuestCard
- You use a taxi from a taxi company that participates in the "GuestCard with taxi voucher" campaign
- The driver scans the GuestCard BEFORE starting the journey and confirms that the journey is free for you

Validity periods
It is planned to offer the "GuestCard with taxi voucher" several times a year.
The following validity periods are currently set:

Our answers to your questions
During defined periods, four taxi vouchers for free taxi journeys in the Wilder Kaiser region are automatically stored on each GuestCard.
Guests who stay overnight in the Wilder Kaiser region between 25 October 2025 and 19 December 2025 and are in possession of a valid Wilder Kaiser GuestCard can redeem the taxi vouchers by showing and scanning their GuestCard in the taxi.
The taxi vouchers can be used daily from 07:00 - 24:00.
The taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys within the Wilder Kaiser region, i.e. for journeys within the municipal area of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll. The taxi vouchers are NOT valid for journeys to the neighbouring towns of Itter, Schwoich, Kufstein, St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf and Reith in the Wilder Kaiser region.
Before the journey begins, the GuestCard is scanned by the taxi driver and the corresponding number of vouchers (1 zone = 1 voucher; 2 zones = 2 vouchers) is debited.
For journeys in your own holiday resort (e.g. from your accommodation to the cable car) or for a journey to a neighbouring village (e.g. from Scheffau to Söll), one taxi voucher per person is required (1 zone).
For journeys to a more distant location in the Wilder Kaiser region (e.g. Ellmau - Söll) two vouchers per person are required (2 zones).
There are no additional costs for guests as long as they have a sufficient number of taxi vouchers on their Guest Card. The costs for the pilot project "Guest Card with taxi voucher" are borne by the Wilder Kaiser Tourism Association.

The minimum occupancy per journey is 2 persons (whether fellow travellers or third parties). Persons travelling alone in a taxi must therefore use double the number of vouchers per journey. (1 zone = 2 vouchers, 2 zones = 4 vouchers)
Please report the loss of your GuestCard to your accommodation. Your host can issue you with a new GuestCard. For technical reasons, replacement cards do not contain taxi vouchers.
Taxi vouchers are non-transferable and can only be used by the person to whom the GuestCard is issued. Cash payment of the voucher value is not possible.
Taxi companies are free to accept or refuse a journey (if no vehicle is available or the journey is too far). There is no transport guarantee.
It is recommended to book a taxi in advance, especially during peak times. However, spontaneous journeys are also possible as long as taxis are available.
No, the taxi vouchers are only valid for journeys with the participating taxi companies and are not transferable to other taxi companies or means of transport.
For longer distances outside the Wilder Kaiser region, there are other public transport options available. With your GuestCard you can use all public buses in the Wilder Kaiser region free of charge. Here you will find all information about mobility on site.
