Who We Are – The Mayerl Family

Söll, Tyrol – and right in the heart of it, a house that has been welcoming guests since 1979. As a family.

Hans and Uschi always wanted it that way: people arrive, stay for a while, and leave with the feeling of having been with friends. That spirit still beats in every corner of this house today.

Their son Christian carried it forward – quite literally. As a trained carpenter, he oversaw the major renovation in 2003 and turned the house into what it is today. In 2019, a carport and a new garden were added – the finishing touch on a home that has grown over decades. None of it would have been possible without the solid foundation his parents built – and he knows that.

Uschi still tends to the garden, the balconies, and the little details that make a house truly beautiful. Hans is the calm anchor of the family – always ready to listen, and always knowing which hiking route is worth taking right now.

I am Daniela, Christian's wife. I am your first point of contact for everything – whether you need a plaster, a tip for the evening, or simply someone to talk to. I work as a coach and speaker, but here at home I am above all one thing: the person who makes sure you feel comfortable.

Our son Nicolas was dreaming about diggers and wheel loaders in the sandpit at the age of three. I told him back then: "That is a wonderful dream – but first you learn a solid trade that will help you get there." He listened. He trained as a locksmith and mechanical engineer – and today he is living exactly the dream he wished for at three years old.

Our daughter Nadja was a quiet, introverted child – until she started Taekwondo. What began as a gentle push towards self-confidence turned into a real passion. She worked her way up to the national team and competed at the Junior European Championships. Today she has completed her vocational qualification in glass technology and business management and is preparing for her final exams. Determined and creative – that was always inside her. Sport just made it visible.

And then there is Sia – our black rescue dog, adopted, adored, and officially the most popular host in the house. She barks once to say hello. After that, she is your best friend.

When you stay with us, you are not just renting an apartment – you are a guest of our family. We live next door, know every path, every season, every favourite spot in the area. And we genuinely look forward to welcoming you back.
