The Hintersteiner See is an enchanting mountain lake, covering 56 hectares and reaching depths of up to 36 meters, located at an elevation of 883 m above Scheffau in the midst of the Wilder Kaiser Nature Reserve. A hike around the lake offers magnificent views of the turquoise shimmering water of the crystal-clear mountain lake.
