Description

The summer solstice has a long tradition in Tyrol and is a true spectacle. On the weekend closest to 21.06. (solstice), fires are lit on the mountains to amplify the power of the sun and to keep evil away from humans and animals.

With the onset of darkness around 9:30 p.m., the fires are lit on the surrounding mountain peaks, creating a beautiful chain of lights along the peaks of the Wild Kaiser.

From the valley, the lights can be admired almost anywhere that has a clear view of the Wild Kaiser.

In good weather, it's a great spectacle!
