Description
The summer solstice has a long tradition in Tyrol and is a true spectacle. Fires are lit on the mountains to amplify the power of the sun and keep evil away from humans and animals.
As darkness falls, the fires are ignited on the surrounding mountain peaks, creating a beautiful chain of lights along the peaks of the Wilder Kaiser.
From the valley, the lights can be admired almost everywhere where there is a clear view of the Wilder Kaiser.
In good weather, it is a wonderful spectacle!
In case of very poor weather forecasts, the fires on the mountain peaks are not lit.
