The summer solstice has a deep-rooted tradition in Tyrol and is celebrated every year with an impressive natural spectacle. On this special night, people light fires on the mountain peaks – as a symbol of the power of the sun and to protect against all evil.

After sunset (around 9:00 p.m.), the flames begin to blaze on the ridges around the Wild Kaiser. Peak by peak, they shine brightly, creating a magical chain of lights above the valley. Those with a clear view of the majestic massif of the Wild Kaiser from the valley can admire...
