Corpus Christi is not only a major feast of the Catholic liturgical year in Austria, but also a public holiday.
During the Corpus Christi festival or Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the bodily presence of Jesus Christ in the sacrament of the Eucharist is celebrated.
