Ellmau

Description

The Gruttenhütte is a rustic refuge in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser. It is picturesquely situated at 1620m, on the south side of the Wilder Kaiser with a fantastic view. Cosy evenings in the hut invite you to enjoy the beautiful sun terrace with panoramic views of the magnificent peaks of the local mountains. It is the starting point for various hikes, summit adventures and climbing tours.

The Gruttenhütte was ceremoniously opened in 1900. In 2017, it was completely rebuilt and now has about 105 beds, which are divided into two-bed rooms to eight-bed rooms and mattress dormitories....
