Relaxation, a break from everyday life, quality time with loved ones, experiencing new things, and enjoying beautiful landscapes – these are probably some of the main reasons to plan a vacation.
At Kaisergrund in Ellmau, it is possible to experience all these things at once.
We offer ample space in our Apartment Top 3 for the whole (extended) family or all your friends.
However, for those who wish to enjoy peace in a smaller circle, our Apartment Top 1 (2-4 persons) is perfectly suited.
Surrounded by the beautiful mountain world of the Wilder Kaiser region, our house is located on the outskirts of a residential area, which is 2km from the center of Ellmau.
Further hiking trails towards the Kaiser Mountains can be accessed directly from Kaisergrund.
The eventful Kaiserbad of Ellmau invites you not only to swim in summer and winter but also offers a wonderful sauna landscape, tennis, climbing, and squash halls, as well as a highly recommended restaurant, and is just an 8-minute walk away. There is also the bus stop for the regional summer bus, the so-called KaiserJET, which is free and connects all hiking and bathing options in the entire region.
Also directly at the Kaiserbad is the entry point for the kilometers-long cross-country ski trail, which delights both avid cross-country skiers and leisurely winter hikers alike. The ski bus stop for winter is just 280m from Kaisergrund and brings our guests free of charge to the Hartkaiserbahn, allowing them to enter the ski world of Wilder Kaiser-Brixental without a car.
Facilities Top 3 – Apartment for 4-8 persons
Spending a vacation with the entire extended family or enjoying quality time with friends is possible in our Top 3 for up to 8 persons.
The apartment spans the first and second floors and is easily accessible with an underground parking space as well as an additional parking space directly at the house. Furthermore, guests are provided with their own storage space for strollers, bicycles, skis, sleds, or other sports equipment right next to the parking options.
After climbing the stairs from the ground floor, you will find yourself in the open living and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a cozy breakfast, a joint brunch, preparing a hearty snack, the well-deserved lunch, a delightful afternoon coffee, or a romantic dinner. From dishes, glasses, cutlery, to appliances such as a blender, coffee machine, dishwasher, toaster, electric stove including an oven, and kettle, to large pots, pans, knives, and other kitchen helpers, the kitchen is well-equipped. There is also a small pantry with plenty of space for brought-in food. In the living area, there is a couch that can be used as an additional sleeping option, a TV, and of course a large dining area to enjoy meals together with all your travel companions. Furthermore, on this level, there is a toilet and a large south-facing terrace that invites you to enjoy the view of Ellmau and the mountains, such as the Kitzbühler Horn, Astberg, and Hartkaiser. There is also a terrace door at the back of the house, offering views of the Wilder Kaiser, along with forest and some forest animals.
A staircase connects the living area with the second floor, which features a beautiful exposed roof structure in the sleeping area. There are 3 bedrooms, each with two beds and custom-built cabinets, ensuring a perfect relaxation. Two of the bedrooms also have access to a balcony overlooking the mountains. In addition to the sleeping rooms, the large apartment at Kaisergrund also includes another separate WC and a bathroom with a sink, shower, and a bathtub for cozy evenings.
Facilities Top 1 – Apartment for 2-4 persons
After parking the car in the underground garage, guests can access the apartment directly from the ground floor. A separate bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe offers space for two people to recharge their energy for the exciting days in Ellmau. The couch in the living area can be used as a sleeping option for another two persons. The separate bathroom has a WC, a sink, and a walk-in shower. In addition, there is a fully equipped kitchen with various appliances such as a coffee machine, electric stove including an oven, kettle, blender, and toaster, as well as dishes, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans, and other common kitchen utensils. The entire apartment is barrier-free and thus perfect for any age group.
If a four-legged friend is part of the family, they are also welcome to enjoy the vacation.
All beds are prepared with pillows and duvets including covers. Each registered guest will also receive a shower towel and a hand towel, which should not leave the house. (For swimming trips, please use your own textiles). Upon request, bed linens and towels can be exchanged during a longer stay. There are also sufficient textiles available in the kitchen and WC area to ensure a smooth hygienic process.
