14 years ago, we started to renovate our grandmother’s house and in 2021 we finally fulfilled our dream of turning the in-law apartment into a holiday apartment. Working on our own, we managed to turn the old apartment into a little gem that we are now almost a little proud of! We love to spend our holidays with the family in holiday apartments, and therefore it was very important to us to design the apartment in such a way that our guests feel at home as soon as they arrive and can enjoy their holiday from the very first minute. Now we are happy to finally fill the apartment with life and hope to welcome you as our guest.
From the Loferer Bundesstraße, you can reach us via a private street of about 100m and then find the house on the right side. The house is surrounded by lots of green space and nature! Behind our house runs the Weißache (stream), which you can cross over a bridge. In front of our house you will find the car parking space, from where you can already reach the holiday apartment.
The cloakroom offers enough space for shoes and jackets, but also the suitcases find space in a practical “niche”.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday: fridge freezer, enough dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher, coffee machine (capsules), kettle, toaster, egg boiler, a radio and enough space for food or items you have brought yourself. The dining area offers space for 6 people.
In the living room you will find a cosy sofa bed, which can be converted into a great bed for 2 people with just a flick of the wrist. If you travel as a family and use the couch yourself, there is also room for a child on the second part of the couch, should the child want to be near the parents… Furthermore, there is of course a television with satellite TV and wi-fi connection. So that you don’t have to leave the bed again, there is a remote control to turn off the light. In addition, there is a wardrobe in the living room so that everything can be neatly stored away. A patio door leads to a small terrace, which is furnished with a rattan set.
The bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a spacious wardrobe and another satellite TV.
The toilet, which is located in a separate room, should also be pleasant. Next to the toilet you will find a large washbasin and a washing machine. Laundry rack, ironing board and iron are of course also available. Even though you shouldn’t do any household work while on holiday, it’s still an advantage to be able to quickly throw something into the machine in case of a mishap.
The last room is the small but nice bathroom, which is always pleasant to enter due to the underfloor heating. In addition to the shower, there is a bathtub to warm up and relax in, which is certainly an advantage during the cold season. The washstand offers enough space for a family and thanks to the towel dryer, the towels are quickly ready to use again.
We would also like to mention our small, colourful chicken farm, which has been admired and smiled at by hikers and bikers for years. Even if you find it hard to believe, watching the feathered friends go about their business for a few minutes can be very relaxing and refreshing, especially when there are offspring again. The biggest advantage, however, might be that our guests know exactly where our eggs come from and can enjoy a fresh egg for breakfast!
Our house is located in the part of the village Steinerer Tisch and is about 2 km away from the centre of Ellmau. In only 3 minutes by car, you have several shopping possibilities in the village. If you prefer to leave your car at home, you can reach the village in about 30 minutes by foot. The bus or ski bus stop is only 300m away.
For those who don’t like to cook for themselves on holiday, there is a restaurant 300m away and the next one only 500m away from our house! Otherwise, there are of course plenty of places to stop for refreshments and food in our surroundings!
For the sports enthusiasts, it is perhaps important to mention that our house is located directly next to the biking path, from where you can go out on countless bike tours. No matter if you are a beginner, a professional or just up for a family bike tour, you will find the right route for everyone. No matter if you prefer to go hiking in the Wilder Kaiser or up the Hartkaiser on the opposite side, both is possible from our accommodation without having to start the car! For those who don’t like to hike far, but still want to enjoy the tranquility of nature, there is the Forstmeile only 5 minutes away! It is a place of relaxation where you can quickly forget everyday life and, with a bit of luck, watch deer. But if you prefer to work out, you can also do so perfectly here with a forest run and the individual stations.
In winter, you will find a direct connction to the winter hiking trail behind our house, or you can reach the golf course through an underpass, which invites you in winter with a beautiful hiking trail, but also with a great cross-country skiing rail. From there you can walk or cross-country ski to the surrounding villages.
