The Gruberhof
Tour of the Bergdoktor residence on the Bromberg
The Gruberhof, located on the sunny side of the Söller Bromberg at around 1,000 metres above sea level, is the family mountain farm and home of the Bergdoktor, his mother, his brother Hans, and his daughter Lilli in the series. When the Bergdoktor team isn’t filming, the farm is known as Köpfing and belongs to the Mayr family, who also continue to run it.
The farmhouse and its panoramic breakfast terrace with its unique view of the entire Kaiser mountain range and the Hohe Salve have long since become a trademark of the TV series.
In order to preserve the privacy of the farm residents, you can register online and at the Söll Tourist Information Centre for a guided tour by tractor to the "Grubers'" home. If the tractor tours are fully booked, you can also reach the farm on foot (without pre-booking) - please note the opening times!

Visits are not permitted outside of opening hours (not even in the outdoor area). The farm is privately owned and inhabited. We ask you to respect the privacy.
Directions & Parking
The road up to the Gruberhof is a private road. Access by bus or car is not possible. We therefore ask you to park at the signposted "Bergdoktorparkplatz" car park next to the roundabout in Söll. From there you can reach the farm on foot in about 1.5 hours walking time uphill. Alternatively, you can also book a tractor ride to the Gruberhof.
Tip: Use the KaiserJet for a comfortable and environmentally friendly journey to the mountain cable car in Söll. You can find the timetable here.
