Important Information about Hiking and Mountain Trails in Winter

To prevent damage caused by avalanches or snow pressure, trail markers and steel cables in higher and/or avalanche-prone areas are partially removed during the winter months.

Just like in the summer, personal responsibility remains a fundamental principle when walking on mountain trails in winter. Additionally, surefootedness, a lack of fear of heights, physical fitness, alpine experience, and suitable equipment that matches the weather conditions are prerequisites.
