No, overnight stays in mobile accommodation such as tents, caravans, motor vehicles, motorhomes, mobile homes, etc. are only permitted on campsites in Tyrol. Outside of these, i.e. in the countryside and on any public car parks, it is prohibited by law. The legal basis for this is the Tyrolean Camping Act. Failure to comply with this regulation is an administrative offence and punishable by law.
Exempt from this ban is bivouacking in high alpine terrain for a short period of time as required by the circumstances (e.g. bad weather, darkness, injury). Planned camping on the mountain is not permitted.
