The "Rigi of Tyrol", as the Hohe Salve Mountain is affectionately known, makes the ideal destination for a hearty mountain breakfast after an early sunrise hike. And Alpengasthof Rigi has been attracting walkers for 50 years now. You can hike up to the Rigi, at 1.532m above sea level, leaving from Hopfgarten, Söll, Brixen and Itter. You also have the opportunity, however, to take the convenient mountain cableway up from Hopfgarten. Breakfast on the mountain is served daily (except Thursday).
Tip: big breakfast menu (ladies, hut, mountain or coffee-tea breakfast), with prior reservation breakfast earlier than 9 a.m. possible.
