Kaiserkrone Trail - SKYRACE - official competition route (trailrunning event)

Trail running equipment. The MANDATORY EQUIPMENT for participation in the competition is listed in the advertisement for the respective competition on www.kaiserkrone.run.

The route follows official hiking and mountain trails—which are signposted year-round—as well as alpine terrain.
The trail conditions vary by section, including asphalt, forest roads, forest trails, gravel paths, steep scree fields, root-covered trails, trails in alpine pastures, as well as many sections with very steep ascents and descents, and exposed sections with rope safety lines in alpine terrain (2 summit crossings, overall technically very challenging, must have a head for heights and be sure-footed).
The difficulty level of the trails ranges from moderate to difficult (classification according to the Tyrolean Hiking and Mountain Trail Concept).

We recommend the arrival if possible on foot or by bike (bike racks at the Tourist Info or municipal office), or by bus.
KaiserJet hiking bus 80 or postbus line 865 / 866 - the bus stop "Scheffau Dorf" is located directly at the event start/finish area.

Heading from Wörgl, Kufstein or St. Johann on the B178 road, take the exit to Scheffau.

As parking facilities in the centre of Scheffau are very limited, we recommend using the following day parking lot during the event - approx. 1 km / 15 min. walk from the start/finish area:

• Park & Ride car park next to the ENI petrol station (pay & display - card payment only), address: Loferer Str. 1, 6351 Scheffau
  Free bus connection to the event to ‘Scheffau Dorf’, during the day approx. every 30 minutes with the KaiserJet 80 hiking bus or Hintersteiner See 30 hiking bus - timetables www.wilderkaiser.info/mobil
