The composition of the trail varies between forest roads, paths, meadow and forest trails, rocky passages - some with secured sections - and short sections of asphalt.
Rucksack, hiking/mountaineering boots, hiking gear (breathable), change of clothes, sun protection (sunglasses, sun cream, headgear), waterproofs (hardshell), cold protection (gloves and hat), water bottle, food for eating on the way, hiking poles if desired, first aid kit, plastic bag for waste, hiking map/route description (gpx track)
Additional items for overnight stay at mountain hut: mountain hut sleeping bag, indoor shoes, toiletries and towel, personal medication, headlamp, ID and insurance cards (including Alpine Club ID Card), cash, charger for mobile phone
As the hikes between the mountain huts are often extremely long, it is recommended to take sufficient food and water and to book accommodation for overnight stays in good time.
