Après-ski in the Wilder Kaiser region

In the mornings, wonderful slopes with excellent snow conditions, and in the afternoons plenty of sunshine and live music on the hut terrace. When dusk begins to fall, it doesn’t mean the party’s over in the Wilder Kaiser region . Quite the opposite: that’s when things really get going! Quaint après-ski bars near the valley station, as well as in the village centres of the Kaiser-Orte ensure long nights of partying and cosy evenings!

True to the motto “Snow, Good Cheer & Music”, Ellmau offers a varied entertainment programme during the winter season. The village of Ellmau, together with Söll, is one of the largest in the region; as such, these two imperial villages also offer the most diverse and widest range of après-ski activities.

In Going, you’ll find a slightly different kind of après-ski experience. In the cosy, rustic atmosphere of the pub, you can look back on the day’s highlights with family and friends. Along the slopes in Scheffau, you’ll pass plenty of quaint huts that invite you to round off your day’s skiing in cosy style. But even once you’ve reached the valley, the pubs at the valley station and in the village centre offer plenty of opportunities to celebrate with good music and a lively atmosphere.

Live music, a great atmosphere and a venue with just the right ambience are the key ingredients for the most famous ‘Einkehrschwung’ in the Alps – the Einkehrschwung. The village of Söll is, along with Ellmau, one of the largest villages in the region; consequently, these two imperial villages also offer the most varied and extensive range of après-ski activities. It is an integral part of village life in Söll and is considered an essential part of a day’s skiing by locals and visitors alike.
