Five guided theme walks await all outdoor enthusiasts
The easy to medium-difficulty hikes last between two and six hours. Whether culinary, cultural, with llamas or on the subject of the "Bergdoktor" - there is something for everyone in the programme. You can join the hiking guide from Monday to Friday, because he always has something funny or worth knowing to tell you. You can register directly online for the individual hikes.
Program for 2022:
Right at the beginning a nostalgic torch-lit hike leads to the Ellmau Museum of Local History. On Monday at 8pm. the group of hikers will get to know old Tyrolean customs and crafts with music and some delicacies before they return to the village in the dark with torches. During the film hike on Tuesday at 9am Peter will take you to some of the original locations of "Der Wilder Kaiser", "Der Ruf der Berge", "Die Hüttenwirtin" and of course to the Bergdoktor's house. At the Rübezahlalm at the Hartkaiser, the innkeeper will then tell you personally about the numerous film shots taken around the mountain hut. On Wednesday at 10am Ruth will take you with her llamas from Koglhof for the llama trek. You yourself can lead the tame llamas on a short, varied circular hike. The hike costs € 15 per person with the Wilder Kaiser GuestCard. Register here.
On Thursday at 9am we go to the Hintersteinersee. Highlights of the tour: Hike through the Rehbach gorge, the colourful flower meadows and the steady view of the Wilder Kaiser. At the end of the Ellmauer hiking week there is a pleasure hike on Friday at 3 pm. With Peter you go on a trail of local products.
