Description
This tour is suitable for families and pleasure seekers. Walk to the valley station of the Hartkaiserbahn. Take the gondola (with a valid mountain railway ticket) comfortably up to the Hartkaiser at 1,550 m. At the top, a short circular path leads through the forest to the photo point at the panoramic picture frame with the Wilder Kaiser in the background. Leisurely return to the mountain station; before taking the gondola back down to the valley, you can enjoy the warming rays of sunshine and the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains on the terrace of the Panoramarestaurant Bergkaiser.

from Wörgl or Kufstein on the B178 road, take the first exit to Ellmau and
then take the first exit at the roundabout. Driving towards the centre of
Ellmau, turn right when you reach the Intersport Winkler sports shop (located
on the left-hand side) and follow the green signs leading towards the
Hartkaiserbahn gondola lift.
Heading from St. Johann on the B178 road, take the second exit to Ellmau
and then take the second exit at the roundabout. Driving towards the centre
of Ellmau, turn right when you reach the Intersport Winkler sports shop
(located on the left-hand side) and follow the green signs leading towards
the Hartkaiserbahn gondola lift.
