Initiative for Quality & Design in Crafts - New Ways for the Future of Crafts
The initiative Network Crafts aims to preserve, further develop, design and communicate traditional and lively local crafts. Cooperation with designers and creative people, new collaborations, awakening enthusiasm and talents of young people for crafts, but also the use of tools, techniques and materials of the 21st century are among the approaches to successfully carry crafts into the future with educational initiatives. Awareness processes for the value and perspectives of crafts and craft design are to be initiated and promoted, and these are to be brought to the craftsmen, the youth or the public through special mediation programmes.
