Fresh meat at MPREIS
Two lads, both master butchers, set up their own business in 2015 and seize the opportunity offered to them at the MPREIS store in the "Bergdoktor town" of Ellmau in Tyrol. Thomas Trixl and Wolfgang Straif are just 22 and 25 years old at the time. The two young entrepreneurs get along well, have a similar background with family farming at home and live in the communities of Reith bei Kitzbühel and Brixen im Thale near Ellmau.
Slaughtering takes place on the farm of Thomas Trixl's uncle in Reith bei Kitzbühel. The cattle comes from the family farms Trixl and Straif. (Organic) poultry is purchased from the traditional Carinthian company Wech and beef and pork from Almtaler in Upper Austria.
