Coach trips in the Wilder Kaiser region

Important information for tour guides and coach drivers

Whether in summer or winter – the Wilder Kaiser is a popular destination for coach groups. Hikers, daring climbers and via ferrata climbers scale the rugged peaks of the Kaiser. Things are a bit more leisurely on the opposite side. There, the summer cable cars take you up to the gentle grassy hills and breathtaking mountain adventure worlds. The Bergdoktor filming locations in Ellmau, Going and Söll are also a popular destination. Most of these are open to visitors. Of course, there are many more summer highlights waiting for you. The Wilde Kaiser also offers countless activities, events and attractions in winter. Wide turns on broad slopes, freshly groomed runs across some 275 kilometres of piste and 81 state-of-the-art lifts are all part of one of Austria’s largest and most modern ski resorts – the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. Hiking alone along picturesque winter trails, an extended snowshoe tour through pristine, white woodland, a horse-drawn sleigh ride through a snow-covered winter landscape, or a fun toboggan ride on the toboggan runs in Ellmau, Going and Söll.

An enchanting mountain lake, covering 56 hectares and up to 36 metres deep, lies at 883 metres above sea level, high above Scheffau in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser Nature Reserve.

Access to Hintersteiner See in Scheffau is restricted. Coaches longer than 10 metres are not permitted to travel to Hintersteiner See due to the narrow road leading there.
