The Austrian Ecolabel is a government-issued ecolabel. In the Wilder Kaiser region, eight businesses currently hold this label.
In the Wilder Kaiser Mission Statement, quality of life through sustainable tourism has been established as a vision. In this regard, there is also a need for tourism businesses with a sustainable focus, which embed this mission statement in their day-to-day operations and proactively and confidently demonstrate it to the outside world. For this reason, the Wilder Kaiser Tourism Association supports businesses in the region in obtaining certification with the Austrian Eco-Label. Support for businesses
The Wilder Kaiser Tourist Board supports all businesses wishing to obtain certification under the Austrian Ecolabel scheme. Many interested hosts from Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll have already taken part in free information sessions, and some of them are now in the process of being certified. The Eco-Label is awarded once all mandatory criteria and a specified number of points from the recommended criteria have been met. The criteria catalogue covers areas such as business operations, environmental management, energy, water, waste, cleaning, hygiene, construction, food, transport and more. Any tourism business can apply for certification with the Austrian Eco-Label.
