In ellmau you can experience a special type of winter hiking: Llama trekking at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountains
Meeting point is the Koglhof (direction to Haflingertrenke), which is also called "Llama-farm" by locals. Reason for this is "Llama-mother" Ruth, who lives there with her family of about 30 llamas. The winter hike leads from the farm to the romantic winter landscape of Ellmau. You can lead a llama - a special experience for everybody! At the end of the winter hike Ruth will offer you mulled wine and cake, for children she has hot chocolate or tea. You can also purchase homemade products from llama wool such as quilts or hand felted hats.
