Mountain lake and high moor at 1,300m
The picturesque Filzalmsee Hochbrixen, set at 1,300 metres, is a hidden gem in the Kitzbühel Alps. In the RiesenWelt adventure area, everything revolves around naturally awakening the senses and deepening your connection to the mountain world.
The high moorland biotope at Filzalmsee can be explored in a range of ways: feel its texture in the wading pond and moorland treading pool, or learn more about it at the information showcase. Along the panoramic trails surrounding the lake, hikers can enjoy full-body refreshment with Kneipp therapy stations and foot reflexology on the barefoot path.

Don't forget your swimsuit!
Take your swimsuit, sun cream and preferably a second set of clothes with you. This way you can experience the mountain lake and the high moor to the full.
Important information
You can reach the Filzalmsee in Brixen directly with the Hochbrixen gondola lift. The ascent with the cable car is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Please note that the door width of the cable car is 60cm. There are plenty of free parking spaces available at the gondola valley station.

You can either hike up to Filzalmsee from Brixen im Thale or take a more leisurely route by gondola. If you opt for the lift, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental ticket prices apply.
At Filzalmsee, it’s not just rare animal and plant species that await you – natural alpine landscapes and inviting panoramic trails are part of the experience too. Young explorers can burn off energy in the playground and discover more about nature at the interactive adventure stations.
