Bernhard Moser - The guardian

Building yard municipality Ellmau

Brushing teeth, brewing coffee, cooking, washing up, cleaning, bathing… have you ever thought about how often you are using a water tap every day? It's a matter of course, while most of us are never thinking of where the water is actually coming from.Bernhard Moser and his colleagues from the building yard ensure that the people of Ellmau can fully rely on the purest water coming from their taps. Years ago, a rich spring was found by accident while digging. It supplies enough water for the entire town. The area was then declared a spring protection area and the spring was collected. 4.5 million litres of water are flowing through the 42 kilometres long line network every year: There is regular servicing and maintenance, as well as continuous sampling and inspection for 100 values. From the private household to the many hotels to the Kaiserbad, everyone is getting the fresh spring water at home. Yes, that's right. You will even bathe in the cleanest drinking water!
