Kaiserkrone - Scheffau village approach

Start at Scheffau Community Hall, where you can park free of charge. Follow the road in the direction of Hintersteiner See lake. In front of the bridge, you should turn right and go into the forest. Walk through Rehbachklamm gorge as you head north. At the end of the fascinating gorge, you will come to an Alpine plateau featuring the Hinterschiesslingalm mountain hut. Tuck into a hearty breakfast comprised of homemade products. You should then proceed in a northwesterly direction, crossing romantic pastures and meadows until you come to the Steiner-Niederalm. Walk north along the path behind the house before heading northwest on the road, which will bring you to the Steiner-Hochalm.
