Kaiserkrone JOLsport EliteRun
6 July 2019 - along the imperial crown
Hard, Harder: Kaiserkrone JOLsport EliteRun
It’s like the top of a mountain - just the best of the best will reach it.
In addition to the well-established 3-days-race “Tour de Tirol” there’s a new, extreme run since 2017 in the region Wilder Kaiser – the KAISERKRONE JOLSPORT ELITERUN. Due to the hardness of the qualification, this run is just for the best of the best.
Just the ones who are able to do all three days of the “Tour de Tirol” in less than 9 hours have the possibility to apply for the Kaiserkrone Jolsport Elite Run. The distribution of the starting numbers and a short briefing will take place on 5 July 2019 while having dinner together. (the meal and 1 drink are included in the registration fee)
The route leads along the Kaiserkrone, normally a 5-days hut-to-hut trekking tour, around the Wilder Kaiser range. Our top-runners will do the 58 kilometres and 3500 metres altitude difference in just one day with just one refreshment stop.
Start & Finish: Music pavilion in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser
There’s just 1 refreshment stop in the middle of the trail (Kaiserbachtal). Required food and equipment will be controlled before start. Due to weather conditions or security reasons the organizers (Tourism office Scheffau and JOLsport) are authorized to change the route.
For those who are interested will be a guided public-run along a part of the original path at 10.30 a.m. on race day.
Preparatory Camp for the JOLsport EliteRun 2019
From 21 to 23 June 2019 the preparation camp for the imperial crown JOLSport Eliterun will take place on the original route. All information about the camp and the registration can be found at www.crossthealps.at
