Vie ferrate at the Wilder Kaiser

Short & crunchy or long & enduring?

The Wilder Kaiser beckons with diverse fixed-rope routes. Beginners can make their first attempts on the exercise fixed-rope route near the Gaudeamushütte and try out if the combination of rock and steel is right for them. Advanced fixed-rope route climbers will find a short and crunchy challenge in the Klamml fixed-rope route. The Kaiserschützen and Kufstein fixed-rope route in contrast challenge with their length and difficulty.

The Kufstein fixed-rope route leads on the North side of the Wilder Kaiser onto the Unteres Gamskarköpfl (1,975 m). The fixed-rope route at difficulty D has very few stepping brackets and leads to the summit of the Sonneck.

The Kaiserschützen fixed-rope route at difficulty B/C is particularly characterized by its length and beautiful landscape. Diversity between the sections secured with steel ropes is ensured by walking passages that require good balance, freeness of vertigo and alpine experience.
